Peartree Rental Ltd is proud to be part of the Photokina exhibition in Cologne Germany this year. We will be contributing to the Leaf stand, and look forward to creating an exciting environment where you can experience the latest digital technology.
Every two years over 150,000 visitors from 140 countries attend the six day showcase of the worlds leading photography and imaging products. The event will provide a full overview of the imaging technology and imaging communication market in all its complexity.
All the Leaf Aptus family will be on show and available for testing, including the new Aptus 65, Aptus 75 and the most up to date version of Leaf Capture 11, which creates a seamless workflow for shooting, editing and processing.
The British Journal of Photography

Ipex exhibition 2006 update
We are pleased to say that taking part in the IPEX exhibition this year was a great success despite the show being more print and press orientated. Peartree and Leaf made up the Capture and Creation section of the huge Kodak stand in Hall 5. All Leaf products were on show including the extremely impressive Aptus 65 and 75.
This was the first UK exhibition where Creo and Kodak shared a stand since the two companies merged last year.
Focus On Imaging exhibition 2006
A big thanks to everyone who visited us at the Peartree Rental stand during Focus this year. We hope it gave you a good idea of the unique service we offer, as well as the personal approach that lies at the heart of our business.
The highlight for us was the first public demonstration of the Leaf Aptus 65. Visitors were able to witness the back in action as professional photographer David Kutcher put it through its paces using a live model. From the positive feedback we received during and after the show, it looks like this back is going to be in great demand.
Leaf Aptus 75 (March 2006)
We are pleased to announce that the level of interest for the Aptus 75 has been fantastic and sales have surpassed early predictions.
Much of the success has been down to head to head demos with direct competitors. Better image quality, more efficient work flow, superior software, value for money and excellent customer care have all been contributing factors.
Video View (Leaf Capture)
This sophisticated piece of software enables you to see a real-time, video-like image in the Video View display of Leaf Capture.
Video View allows the photographer to gain maximum performance and productivity. Best possible accuracy in focus is always obtained as the on screen display comes directly from the digital chip itself. It also allows you and your client to direct exactly how a shot should be taken, helping to improve efficiency on behalf of both parties.
Core Attributes:
Composition:
- Viewfinder: Some large format cameras do not include a camera viewfinder, meaning video view is ideal for those who don’t want to observe the image through the cameras ground glass or viewfinder.
- Layout: The Digital Layout function allows you to create a composition according to a predefined layout of a previous shoot or from a custom editor.
Focusing:
- Digital Focus: It is often inconvenient to place and remove the viewfinder screen on view cameras. With Video View software, focusing directly on the sensor enables a high degree of precision with relative ease.
- Accuracy: It eradicates a focusing accuracy issue that comes with sliding and moving digital backs. A grid is also provided for a precise shot, helping your productivity (perfect for busy pack-shot studios).
- Depth of Field: You can also check the depth of field before capturing an image.
New Software for 2006 - Leaf Capture 11

The new Leaf Capture 11 application is the ideal shooting partner for professional photographers. This sophisticated software can be used to adjust and perfect your images while you shoot, using one clear, simple window for all tasks.
You can create your own colour profiles with Custom Color Profile Maker powered by Gretag Macbeth©, and analyse the true data that has been shot and check essential settings with Leaf Raw View.
Leaf Raw View also has a Loupe tool that lets you check image focus and detail by viewing the raw data at a 1:1 ratio. Try the online training programme now at http://www.leaf-photography.com/pages/products/capture10WBT.aspx
In addition, an application called Leaf Web View allows you to send JPEGs directly to the web or email, giving your workflow added efficiency.
